Our Story
We’ve Been Machining Since 1945
Around the mid 1940’s, Mr. Glen Norris had a dream of opening his own automotive machine shop. That dream began in his own garage. After a few years, he bought a building downtown at the corner of 1502 Chartres and Bell. It remained there until 1960, when the State of Texas bought him out to build U.S. 59. The new building was built at 7200 Long Drive in 1960.
After working at the new location for seven years, he sold the business to his nephew-in-law, Freddie E. Sikes. He had been working for Mr. Norris since 1957. In 1980, Glen Norris passed away of natural causes. Freddie continued the business until he retired in 2005.
His son Dan Sikes and daughter Sonja Sikes have been running the business ever since. We have always and still do strive to do good, honest work. We are family owned and operated. Our goal is to keep our customers happy so that they want to come back with any future work.
